Q. What is Lincoln Savings Bank (LSB) doing to protect my account from fraudulent activity?
A. Through our partnership with SHAZAM, LSB has a variety of resources available to protect your account including SHAZAM's fraud prevention software, FICO® Falcon® Fraud Manager.
Q. What is Falcon?
A. Falcon is fraud prevention software that helps identify and reduce fraud risk by detecting potentially fraudulent PIN-based and signature-based debit transactions. It has a proven reputation of helping minimize payment card fraud losses.
Q. How does Falcon work?
A. Falcon scores each of your transactions based on transaction data and other factors. Each transaction is given a score from 1 to 999, and the higher the score, the greater the likelihood that the transaction is fraudulent.
Q. What happens if Falcon detects fraudulent activity on my card?
A. A SHAZAM Fraud Specialist will call you if any suspicious activity is detected on your account. They will identify themselves as SHAZAM, calling on behalf of Lincoln Savings Bank. If they are unable to reach you, they will leave a message with our contact information.
Q. What information will I be asked for?
A. SHAZAM will ask you to verify your address. Once your address has been verified, they will then ask you to confirm your purchase activity.
Q. Will I be asked for my personal information?
A. No. SHAZAM will never ask for your personal information, such as the last four digits of your social security number, security codes, etc. SHAZAM will only ask for verification of your address.
Q. I prefer not to verify my address with SHAZAM. How do I check on my account activity?
A. SHAZAM will never pressure you to verify your address. If you prefer not to verify your address, they will ask you to contact Lincoln Savings Bank immediately. They will also notify us.
