LSB Giving Back: Part 9December 22, 2009 -- The LSB Foundation will distribute a total of $110,367 to organizations in the Cedar Valley in 2009! The LSB Foundation has committed to donating a total of $110,367 for 2009. During the LSB Foundation 4th quarter review, $12,500 was awarded to various organizations within LSB’s footprint. The following organizations received grants during the 4th quarter review:
Through the LSB Foundation, Lincoln Savings Bank offers a matching gift program to employees. Employees have the opportunity to donate to the Foundation and designate to a specific non-profit organization. The employee donation may also be matched by foundation funds. In 2009, LSB employees requested that a total of $6,150 be designated through the matching gift program. A total of $12,300 was awarded to the following organizations:
The LSB Foundation reviews grant requests and distributes funds on a quarterly basis. Grant applications for the LSB Foundation can be found on Lincoln Savings Bank’s corporate website www.MyLSB.com under the Trust heading. The LSB Foundation exists to continue the charitable giving tradition that has defined Lincoln Savings Bank since its founding in 1902. The foundation is the primary vehicle through which Lincoln Savings Bank will invest in the communities throughout its footprint. It is the number one goal for the foundation to see its efforts result in improved and more economically viable communities. The LSB Foundation focuses on four key areas within the footprint that Lincoln Savings Bank serves. Those four areas are: community development, youth and education, arts and culture, and health and human services.
