First Quarter Financial Plan: Online Banking, Part 2
In our first post about Lincoln Savings Bank’s Online Banking system, we went over the many features that can help you improve your financial management. These included an account overview, funds transfers (one-time and recurring), account activity, eStatements, bill pay and more. The underlying benefit to all of these features is convenience.
While there are times when convenience comes with a cost, using Online Banking with LSB is free AND secure. The safety of your information and security of your hard earned money is a top priority for us. Here’s how we have built in security to our Online Banking system to keep it convenient for you:
Alerts- set up alerts to notify you when certain events happen to your accounts. Want to know when a certain check number clears? How about when your average balance hits a certain level? Or perhaps you just want to remind yourself of personal events like anniversaries or birthdays. Alerts can be delivered via phone call, text message or email.
Risk & Fraud Analytics (RFA) Protection- this extra level of security runs in the background of our online banking system looking for transactions that don’t fit your normal pattern of banking online. If a transaction is initiated that is different from your usual spending trends, we will contact you to verify these transactions are valid. In some cases the transaction may be stopped until verification can be provided.
Secure Access Codes- this is an extra layer of protection we incorporate into our system to make it harder for your login information to be stolen.
SSL Encryption- every bit of information sent between our servers and your computer uses industry-standard encryption to keep it protected.
There is usually a hefty price tag associated with security of this magnitude, but it all comes standard when you enroll in Online Banking with LSB. The enrollment process is simple, too. Just visit this link, fill out the required information and become a savvier, smarter and more efficient banker.
