LSB Life Advice for Our Local Graduates
Every milestone in life is cause for celebration. For those graduating, it’s time to celebrate the accomplishment of an education, the start of new beginnings, and the friendships made along the way. At Lincoln Savings Bank we have the privilege of interacting with a number of graduating students through our company’s internship program. These students have impacted our lives and created their own ripples throughout this company. This May, our mortgage lenders would like to offer their words of wisdom for our Lincoln Savings Bank interns and other area students celebrating their graduation!
Mónica Reyes Rodríquez, Mortgage Lender in Clive, IA.
“You win or you learn. You don’t lose. Always focus on the positive in every situation and don’t let negative things consume you. Knowledge is power.”
Dorothy Mathis, Mortgage Lender in Ankeny, IA.
“Take nothing personal, keep an open mind, question everything, and give back. Appreciation and forgiveness will take you further than any amount of money you make.”
Heidi Swenson, Mortgage Lender in Clive, IA.
“One of my favorite sayings is - having somewhere to go is HOME, having someone to love is FAMILY, having both is a BLESSING.”
Bill Kostow, Mortgage Lender in Grinnell, IA
“Take your time and enjoy what you’re doing.”
Jenny Greene, Mortgage Lender in Clive, IA.
“Life is a gift to you. The way you live your life is a gift to those who come after. Make it a fantastic one!”
Jordan Schick, Mortgage Sales Leader in Waterloo, IA.
“Learn to self-assess your strengths and weaknesses. Don’t ignore your weaknesses, but always follow and stick to your strengths. You will be faced in life with having to complete tasks that are naturally your ‘weakness’. Do it anyway and get it done! Passionately pursue your “strengths”. You will have more success...or win more than you lose...pursuing and sticking to your strengths rather than always trying to overcome your weaknesses. Don’t be afraid to fail. Fail fast and learn from it.”
We are beaming with pride for the Lincoln Savings Bank interns who have walked across the stage and moved into their new roles outside of their collegiate world. To the other area graduates in our communities, we could not be more excited for you. As you charge forward into the new avenues of your life, we hope you think of us for any of your financial needs as you begin to start a career, relationship, or new business endeavor. We’re your favorite financial friend whether you’re right down the street or a state away; no matter what, we’re just a number away! Congratulations class of 2019!
