Ken Furst | LSB Board Member

With a history of influential leadership since its founding over 115 years ago, Lincoln Savings Bank (LSB) continually recruits strong leaders and this year is no exception as it welcomes Ken Furst to its Board of Directors.

Retired in 2017, Ken Furst is a former CPA with RSM US LLP, with experience in audit and risk management. He has also consulted with a wide variety of major businesses over the past 40 years, with major clients including a $10 billion, and several $1 billion+ financial institutions, a national-scale contractor, and the second-largest truck dealership network in the U.S.

As a member of the LSB Board of Directors, Furst’s primary duty will be to look after the interests of LSB’s customers, communities and employees. Furst welcomes challenges like this as he currently advises growing businesses in the financial, risk management and operations areas by working with owners, executives and board to help companies become even more successful.

With Furst’s extensive background, it seemed a perfect match for LSB. “Ken has decades of experience consulting banks, including bank oversight, audit and managing risk,” said LSB President & CEO Erik Skovgard.

Furst’s history in community service is also an ideal fit for the priorities and principles of LSB. He has served on the boards of several high-performing non-profits, including the nationally-ranked National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium as well as the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque.

He is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and received his Business Advisor Designation from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. With a strong passion for community banking, Furst shares the core values of LSB and is enthusiastic about the company’s growth and future.
