Iowans have generous hearts. We're part of that tradition.

For more than 100 years, Lincoln Savings Bank has supported the communities we serve in meaningful and lasting ways. From the foundation’s inception in 2005 to today, we have contributed millions of dollars to local organizations, individuals, and community initiatives.

In 2008, following severe floods and a devastating tornado, LSB raised funds to support disaster relief efforts. Our commitment to giving has continued to grow over the years. Today, the LSB Foundation donates thousands of dollars annually to charities, community groups, and other 501(c)(3) organizations, helping strengthen the communities where we live and work.

Grant Applications
The LSB Foundation accepts grant applications year-round from qualified 501(c)(3) organizations located within the communities we serve. We consider funding requests that align with one or more of the LSB Foundation’s pillars of giving. To be reviewed, all proposals must include the required Grant Application materials listed below. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Required Grant Application Materials:

  • Grant Application Form: Must be completed and included as the first page of each submission.
  • Cover letter
  • Grant proposal: Please include the amount requested; background and mission of the organization; purpose of the funding request; anticipated outcomes; and how outcomes will be measured.
  • Project or Program Budget: A detailed cost breakdown for the project or program for which funding is requested.
  • Leadership Information: A list of organizational officers and members of the Board of Directors.

Submission Guidelines

All grant applications must be mailed to the address below. No faxed or emailed applications will be accepted. Please do not send videos.

Application Deadlines
Grant requests will be reviewed quarterly. Grant applications for 2026 need to be received by:

  • February 3, 2026
  • May 5, 2026
  • August 4, 2026
  • November 3, 2026
